Maria won thursday in the second round of Bank of the West Classic in Stanford against Shahar Peer (ISR) in one hour and 31 minutes. The score : 6-4, 6-3.

Maria and Flavia in semifinal !

Maria and the Italian Flavia Pennetta won wednesday in the quarterfinal of the doubles tournament of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells against the Russian Alisa Kleybanova and the Romanian Monica Niculescu. The score : 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and eight minutes.

In semifinal, Maria and Flavia will play against Vera Zvonareva (RUS) and Victoria Azarenka (BLR).

Maria starts against Kleybanova

Maria will play the first round of the Medibank International of Sydney against the Russian Alisa Kleybanova. Maria never played against her before.

In the doubles tournament, Maria will play with Agnieszka Radwanska. First round against the spanish duet Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual.
