Maria, who is your favorite men’s player?
I like all the players of the top 10. I respect all of them !!!

Do you play video games?
I like to play to Nintendo Wii, games like Mario Kart, James Bond or golf games.

What do you think of Kim Clijsters’ comeback?
It’s good for tennis that she came back. She’s still too young to finish her career now. She is great champion !

Do you have any pets?
No I don’t have yet…

What is your favorite board game?
I like Monopoly very much!

Did you ever play a musical instrument?
Yes, I tryied to play piano and guitar… and I will not try again !!!

What’s your favorite bad food?
I like cotton candy, it’s my favorite one !

What is the funniest trick you have ever been a part of?
As a junior, we went to the Team Finale World Champion under 14 (there were boys and girls playing together). There was a nice hotel with the big windows, so and one day we had a players party. All teams tryied to dress very nice. With Anna Chakvetadze, we took some sanitary bags in the toilets, we filled them up with the water and threw them down on the boys team only! I remember guys from Slovenia came to our room and we finished completely soaked with Anna. It was very funny!

Have you ever gotten lost when travelling?
Once I fly alone from Paris to Birmingham and I went in different plane. I almost sat on my place when few minutes later, a lady came to me and said that I am on wrong plane! I was lost : instead of England, I went to completely different way.

What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen?
Dominican Republic and Maldives Island.

Men’s Health continues to improve and has become even more interesting, more packed from cover to cover and more clearly structured.

Beginning with this January’s issue, the “Focus of Desire” section will be adorned with attractive and successful female Russian athletes. In the new issue it will host tennis star Maria Kirilenko who will give her recommendation on the best cities in which to celebrate the New Year.

Maria has been named as the 4th Hottest Female Athlete, following a poll of visitors to sportsnet.ca, a leading North American sports website. Maria has finished with the third-most votes in a field of more than 20 athletes from around the world.
